Founding President, Director of PyroVigil
Born in Germany, graduated in real estate from the CCI of Düsseldorf, she has come to France regularly since her childhood. She perfected her skills in French at the Lugdunensis and Scott Catholic University in Orléans, and in English at the Euro Busisness School in Düsseldorf, then at the Cheltenham school of English in Cheltenham in the United Kingdom.
From 1996, she held various positions in France: Bilingual sales assistant (Thyssen France), sales and logistics coordinator (WIKO) and sales assistant (Hobie Cat Europe) until redundancy in October 2021.
In 2024, she decided to create PyroVigil in association with her husband. She runs the company, ensures management, GIS studies, commercial development and monitoring of an international clientele.
Associate, technical advisor and trainer
After studying at the Poisy forestry school, he entered a competitive examination at the National Forestry Office in 1980, and was appointed to a position as heritage manager in the East.
At the beginning of the 2000s, he was responsible for the internal company Travaux ONF du Var and diversified the activity outside the forests by associating it with complex pruning and pruning work on trees and palm trees. Following the major fires of 2003, he developed the first safety works against forest fires by combining a landscaping component and the biomechanical and phytosanitary expertise of trees. These services, which are the subject of studies and action programs sometimes lasting several years, are carried out in numerous municipalities, airports, large condominiums and estates, photovoltaic parks, military enclosures, PRL, private properties, etc.
He is then Project Manager for DFCI (Defense of Forests Against Fires) and OLD (Legal Clearance Obligations). He ensures the training of municipal police, controls of OLD, post-fire reconstruction studies, the animation of several PIDAF, and the responsibility of head of room of the Var forest fire PC during the summer season.
In 2019, he was appointed DFCI Coordinator and head of Mediterranean Forest Protection Agents for the Var department. In addition to coordinating the preventive system in the Var during the summer period, with his teams he carried out the clearing of around 2,000 hectares of fire-fighting structures. Its functions also included Research into the Causes and Circumstances of Fires, the Forestry Expertise Unit in support of the COS, training, etc.
In 2024, he requests his removal from management for a new adventure with PyroVigil from June 1

René-Frédéric Plain is an experienced developer with over 20 years of expertise in software development and artificial intelligence. Currently the founder of an innovative solution for automatic wildfire detection using connected cameras and advanced AI, he previously led the development of digital platforms with AI process automation solutions.
His technical background includes software architecture in the banking sector, where he developed complex enterprise systems (pension funds, life insurance, credit card management), as well as the design and implementation of performance and risk management systems, multi-billion dollar grant management platforms, and monitoring tools based on performance indicators.
Certified application developer and trained in enterprise risk management, he is proficient in analyzing, designing, and deploying robust software solutions, combining traditional technical expertise with emerging artificial intelligence technologies to create automated and intelligent systems suited for critical and large-scale environments.
Partner, Technical Advisor and Complex Studies Project Manager
After studying Forestry Engineering, he began his career as an executive at the National Forestry Office in Eastern France.
From 1987, he specialized in the Defense of Forests Against Fire and obtained his forest fire fighting certificate issued by civil security.
Having obtained the position of head of the forest protection service against fire in the Var department, he specializes in the protection of urbanized areas, and provides training in Defense of Forests Against Fire (DFCI) to forest sappers and to civil security until 2020.

Strong in our values of preserving the environment, biodiversity and landscapes, we are convinced that protection against forest fires is crucial.
Our employees, mainly young experienced retirees who have held management positions in the Var, share a common passion for the transmission of knowledge and experience. If our very young company is made up mainly of veterans, we hope to be able to quickly train young recruits in order to pass on our experiences and know-how to them.
The increase in forest fires, accentuated by global warming, led to the development of a law in July 2023 strengthening the prevention and fight against this scourge. We align ourselves with this initiative in anticipation of the requirements set for January 2025 regarding forest protection.
